The marvel panel at San Diego Comic Con took place this afternoon and the studio made sure to bring enough visuals and surprises to keep the fans happy.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige kicked off the panel, introducing a new company logo and explaining the studio’s absence from the con last year; “We only want to come when we have a lot to show you. We actually have a lot today.”

The panel kicked off with Black Panther, director Ryan Coogler revealed he is currently working on the script before announcing new cast members Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia and Danai Gurira as Okoye. Michael B. Jordan will play the villain of the story. He also revealed the logo for the film:

Thor: Ragnarok Director Taika Waititi is currently still filming but was also able to send a bit of a gag reel featuring Thor’s dismay at not being asked to fight along Captain America in the latest film. The director then unveiled the logo for this movie.

After discussing Doctor Strange and unveiling the new poster and trailer, Kevin Feige moved on to Spider-Man Homecoming. Hall H was shown a brief clip of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker exploring a digital projection of a Spider-Man face on his ceiling which was breifly teased at the end credits of Captain America: Civil War earlier this year.

A teaser reel showing high school images of Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, and Chris Evans as teenagers while “I Don’t Give a Damn About My Reputation” played on the soundtrack was also shown depicting Peter Parker and his friends hanging around. We see girls talking about which superheroes they have a crush on at which point one says she has fallen for Spider-Man leaving Peter Parker stunned. The panel ended with the debut a first look of the Concept Art featuring the Vulture.

Guardians of the Galaxy director james Gunn then took the stage to talk about the much anticipated Volume 2. He introduced cast members Chris Pratt, Gamora’s Zoe Saldana, Drax’s Dave Bautista, Nebula’s Karen Gillan, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, and newcomers Kut Russell and Pom Klementieff as Mantis. Chris Pratt said Star-Lord has evolved since the last movie. “Well, he’s famous now! After saving so many people in the galaxy, we’re well known now. He’s a little bit more responsible and trying to stay out of trouble, but not doing the best job.”

The Guardians presentation ended with a new video clip, featuring the galactic teammates working on a Disneyland California Adventure theme park attraction called Mission: Breakout, coming in 2017 and a look at the new logo.

The Marvel panel wrapped up with the official annuncement of Brie Larson being cast as Captain Marvel and a look at the title art.

“Let me clarify,” Feige said. “Captain Marvel has gone by many names in the comics, has had many people who’ve inhabited that costume and used that power base. I want to make it very clear: This hero’s name is Carol Danvers.”

Last but certainly not least we have some footage from the Marvel booth where we see many cosplayers and are also treated to footage of the fan signings with the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther himself, Chadwick Bosseman.
